MIAMI – Jorge A. Mestre has been appointed co-chair of the American Bar Association’s Section of Litigation Trial Practice Committee’s Distance CLE Subcommittee for 2011-2012.
The Section of Litigation is the largest section of the American Bar Association and is dedicated to helping litigators become more effective advocates for their clients. As subcommittee co-chair, Mestre will be responsible for work on the committee’s annual and three-year plan, among other duties.
In addition to this appointment, Mestre serves on the ABA’s Steering Group to the International Energy & Natural Resources Committee, the Steering Group to the International Arbitration Committee, and as Vice-chair of the Latin America and Caribbean Committee. He also serves on the Coalition of Racial and Ethnic Justice.
His practice is focused exclusively on commercial litigation, including international arbitration and litigation. He has litigated domestic and international arbitration matters in both English and Spanish.
