Prior to joining Rivero Mestre in 2021, Michael practiced at leading international law firms where he focused on complex commercial litigation, international arbitration, and investigations, and at a national firm where he focused on federal and New York state litigation. A litigation and arbitration practitioner, Michael has helped to deliver exceptional results in high-profile matters and is also an Adjunct Professor at Fordham Law School teaching courses focused on transnational disputes.
Michael’s practice is focused on complex commercial litigation, international arbitration, and regulatory compliance issues. Fluent in Spanish and Portuguese, he has experience representing foreign and domestic companies and individuals involved in arbitrations, litigations, and with investigations in the U.S., as well as parties to international commercial and investment treaty arbitrations conducted under the major international rules including UNCITRAL, ICSID, and ICDR.
Rivero Mestre, from its offices in Miami and New York, represents clients from investigation to verdict and appeal in complex business disputes in U.S. federal courts, state courts, and domestic and international arbitration proceedings.
