MIAMI — Jorge A. Mestre has been appointed Vice Chair of the Latin America & Caribbean Committee of the American Bar Association’s International Law Section for the term running from September 1, 2024 to August 31, 2025. This is Jorge’s third consecutive term serving as Vice Chair.
The ABA’s ILS Latin America & Caribbean committee is dedicated to studying legal trends in the region. This committee addresses economic integration by analyzing bilateral and regional trade arrangements. It focuses on the most diverse issues relevant to the region that are present in the daily lives of lawyers, judges, regulators, and legislators. The committee is a conduit by which members connect and share experiences or collaborate on projects.
Jorge engages exclusively in a commercial-litigation practice and is Board Certified in International Litigation and Arbitration by The Florida Bar. He has litigated domestic and international arbitration matters in both English and Spanish.
