NEW YORK — Michael A. Fernandez will moderate a panel at Columbia Law School Brazilian Association’s virtual annual forum entitled “Towards Efficiency In International Arbitration” on Friday, April 8, 2022, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. ET.

CLS Brazil is a student-led organization focused on promoting events and initiatives to connect the Brazilian legal community with Columbia Law School and academic and professional legal institutions in New York. This year’s Forum is a one-day conference consisting of four panels about different topics including constitutional and social aspects of democracy, international arbitration, mergers and acquisitions, and white-collar crime and compliance. 

Michael’s practice is focused on complex commercial litigation, international arbitration, and regulatory compliance issues. Fluent in Spanish and Portuguese, he has experience representing foreign and domestic companies and individuals involved in arbitrations, litigations, and with investigations in the U.S., as well as parties to international commercial and investment treaty arbitrations conducted under the major international rules including UNCITRAL, ICSID, and ICDR.
