Julio Eduardo Paez is an experienced commercial litigator with a focus on complex, cross-border disputes, specifically involving Latin America. Licensed to practice law in Venezuela and the United States, he has unique insight into his clients’ business problems.
Julio leverages his critical thinking skills to come up with creative solutions which he is able to effectively communicate to his clients. He is reliable, competitive and hardworking, always putting his client first.
Before joining Rivero Mestre, he worked as a fellow attorney at the University of Miami and was assigned to the Legal Services of Greater Miami. Prior to that, he worked in Venezuela as a lawyer for a real estate company and as a consultant for an industrial company.
He studied law at the University of Miami and has an L.L.M. in Financial Law from Universidad Católica Andrés Bello in Venezuela. With experience as a mortgage broker licensed in insurance and investments, he has a strong passion for public finance and law.
